In today's world where much is taken for granted, even our school children are fortunate. Computers in U.S. schools are commonplace and more often than not, the ratio of computers to children is 1:1. However, it is unfortunate that the same cannot be said for much of the world. Poland, for instance, has 10 - 20 computers per school and children must share computer time. Actual computer usage in any given week (even monthly) is extremely limited, resulting in a great disadvantage for these children. If you're interested, there is a way you can help.
If you are thinking of upgrading your business or personal computer and it is less than 4 years old, please give serious thought to donating it for the school children of Poland. We will make arrangements with companies located within a 50-mile radius of Pittsburgh to pick up your used computer(s) and will ensure that any information contained on its hard drive is permanently erased. We will then have the hard drive reformatted and will handle the computer(s) shipping to schools in Poland. (The computers must be no more than 4 years old due to Poland's import regulations.)
Please consider this an on-going request and keep these children in mind whenever the need for a computer upgrade arises. The children of Poland will greatly appreciate your generosity!
